Reach for this when you want to teach or explain — pose the question yourself, then answer it. 因为... is the self-Q&A rhythm that drives explainer videos, lectures, podcasts, and blog posts. Throw out the why-question to wake up the listener, then pay it off with 因为 (giving the cause) or 我觉得 (giving your take). It's a structural device, not just a sentence — the question and answer together form one rhetorical unit.
Structure
wèishéme ...? yīnwèi ... / wǒ juéde ...
How to Think About It
This is rhetorical Q&A, not a real question. The speaker isn't waiting for an answer — they're using the question to hand the listener a frame, then immediately filling it. 因为 follows when the answer is a cause ('because X'). 我觉得 follows when the answer is the speaker's opinion ('I think...'). Native explainer writing chains these — '为什么? — to keep momentum. The 为什么 is a hook; the 因为 / 我觉得 is the payoff.
Examples
Wèishéme zhème huǒ? Yīnwèi tā piányi, yě hǎokàn.
Why is it so popular? Because it's cheap and looks good.
Wèishéme dàjiā dōu shàngtóu? Wǒ juéde yǒu sān gè yuányīn.
Why is everyone hooked? I think there are three reasons.
Wèishéme tā bù lái? Yīnwèi tā shēngbìng le.
Why isn't he coming? Because he's sick.
Common Mistake
Learners often drop the question mark and run the question and answer together with no pause ('为什么这么火因为...'). The question needs the 吗-less 为什么 form AND the question mark to function rhetorically. Without the punctuation pause, the structure collapses into a single clunky sentence.

Don't Confuse With
Adding 呢 softens the question, making it more reflective or musing ('I wonder why...'). Use 呢 when you want the question to feel pondered; drop it when you want the question to feel punchy.
因为...所以...
Plain cause-effect in one sentence, no question. Use 因为...所以... when you don't need the rhetorical setup; use 为什么...?因为... when you want to hand the listener the question first.
States the effect first, then the cause, all in one sentence. Use it for analytical writing without the dramatic Q&A pause.
