从...角度
Reach for this when you want to frame your next statement as viewed through a specific lens — 'from the perspective of X,' 'from an X angle.' It tells the listener which discipline, role, or vantage point you're about to argue from: economically, historically, technically, ethically. Common in essays, news analysis, and academic writing where the same fact reads differently depending on the lens chosen.

How to Think About It
角度 literally means 'angle.' Chinese visualizes a perspective as a physical viewing angle — you stand at one corner and the scene looks one way, move to another and it looks different. 从...角度 commits you to one corner before you speak. The phrase often pairs with 来看 or 来说 ('looking from / speaking from'), but those can be dropped in shorter contexts.

Common Mistake
Learners try to use 从...角度 to introduce a person's opinion, when the right tool is 在...看来. 角度 means an analytical lens (economics, history, design) — not a particular individual's view.

在...看来
在 X 看来 = 'in X's view' — a person's opinion. 从 X 角度 = 'from the angle of X' — an analytical lens (a field, a role). Use 看来 for people, 角度 for disciplines or stances.
对...来说
对 X 来说 = 'as far as X is concerned' (impact on X). 从 X 角度 = framing through a lens (often impersonal — economics, ethics, design). They feel similar but answer different questions.

从 X 来看 = 'looking from X' — slightly broader, can take any noun (results, data, history). 从 X 角度 specifically frames a vantage point or discipline.
