对于...来说
Reach for 对于...来说 when you want to mark whose perspective you're about to take — 'as far as X is concerned,' 'from X's point of view.' It sets up the next clause so the listener knows that whatever follows applies specifically to that group or person. Common in business analysis, opinion pieces, and any sentence comparing how different parties feel about the same fact: 对于年轻人来说, 房价太高了; 对于公司来说, 这是一个机会.

How to Think About It
对于...来说 frames a perspective lens for the sentence — it tells the reader 'evaluate the next clause through THIS party's eyes.' That's why the structure shines in comparison: one paragraph can stack '对于A来说...对于B来说...' to show how the same fact reads differently. The 来说 is mandatory; dropping it leaves a bare 对于 that sounds like a stranded preposition.

Common Mistake
Learners drop 来说 or substitute 说 alone, copying English 'for X.' Without 来说 the frame is incomplete — natives hear it as a half-sentence and instinctively fill it in.

Don't Confuse With
对...来说
Same meaning, drop the 于. 对我来说 and 对于我来说 are interchangeable; 对...来说 is slightly more casual and shorter. In writing, 对于 sounds a bit more polished.
对...
Plain 对 means 'toward' or 'regarding' but doesn't set up a perspective frame. '他对我很好' = he treats me well. To say 'from my perspective,' you need the full 对...来说.
在...看来
Means 'in X's view' and is usually reserved for opinions and judgments. 对于...来说 covers both opinions AND objective impact ('对公司来说成本很高'). 在...看来 wouldn't fit objective facts as smoothly.
