Today I want to chat with you about Marvel — about their two biggest movies this year.
“漫威” is Marvel in English.
For people who love Marvel, this year is a very special one.
Because two big movies, one after another, are about to come out.
One is called Spider-Man: Brand New Day (《蜘蛛侠:新的一天》).
The other is Avengers: Doomsday (《复仇者联盟:末日》).
Let's talk about Spider-Man first.
This movie comes out July 31st — very soon.
Playing Spider-Man is still that guy everyone loves, Tom Holland.
But this time the story is a bit different from before.
This Spider-Man lives alone in a big city, with seemingly no one around who knows him — everyone has forgotten him.
Being a hero all alone, he's tired, and a little lonely inside.
Okay, let's talk about the Avengers.
This movie is a bit later — not until December 18th.
A few days ago, it dropped its first trailer, and suddenly everyone was talking about it.
Why is everyone so eager to talk about it?
Because many people noticed — Iron Man is back.
Iron Man (钢铁侠) is everyone's favorite hero.
In the earlier movies, he passed away to save everyone.
But this time, he's back again — except, he's no longer a good guy.
This time, he plays a villain.
Playing Iron Man is that famous actor, Robert Downey Jr.
The same actor — before, he played the hero everyone loved most; now, he plays the worst one.
This big change leaves many longtime viewers with mixed feelings — both loving it and saddened by it.
But this trailer also handed everyone a question.
Many people noticed: so many heroes are back — how is there just no Spider-Man?
Actually, there's a reason for that.
Marvel says the Spider-Man movie takes place right before the Avengers.
In other words, at that time, Spider-Man was still busy with his own thing, and hadn't joined everyone yet.
So you see, these two movies are actually connected.
Watch Spider-Man first, then the Avengers, and it'll be clearer.
And you?
Of these two movies, which do you most want to see?
