This summer, Europe is going through a rare, extreme heat.
Wave after wave of heat has baked many places bone-dry and scorching.
In this kind of weather, big fires have broken out one after another in Spain and France.
The fire has spread from southern Spain all the way to France, even reaching the forests near Paris.
Because it's so dangerous, the two countries together have had more than 300,000 people forced to leave home.
Of those, France has about 220,000 evacuated, and Spain more than 70,000.
Spain's situation is so serious that the whole country has entered a state of emergency.
In France, a huge fire is closing in, step by step, on a famous old city — Bordeaux.
The nearest fire is only about fifteen kilometers from Bordeaux.
This is the "city of fine wine" in many people's hearts, and everyone worries something will happen to it.
Facing a fire this big, many European countries have reached out a hand.
Italy, Greece, the Netherlands and others have all sent planes to help France and Spain fight the fire together.
But the weather hasn't turned better, and a new wave of heat is already on the way.
For a lot of people, this summer has truly been unbearable.
