English transcript reference

Star Wars — you have definitely heard the name.

Your parents watched it, and so did you.

These past few days Star Wars has put out something new, but this time it is not a film, it is animation.

The people who drew it are a Japanese company, not an American one.

So this Star Wars looks very different from before.

There is a girl in the story, and her name is Kara.

Kara's father makes swords.

These are not the ordinary swords you usually mean.

This kind of sword glows, so even in a very dark place you can see it.

In Star Wars, only one kind of person uses this kind of sword.

There used to be a great many of them, and then one by one they were gone.

The ones left now are very few.

Someone wants to find them and bring them back.

Kara picks up the sword her father made and goes along too.

She has to travel far, to find the ones still alive.

The new Star Wars is eight episodes in all, on Disney.

People who have seen it say it looks wonderful, but the story is a little slow.

Think about it: have you seen Star Wars?

Do you prefer the films, or the animation?
