Yesterday was a very happy day for Koreans.

Because the Korean team won — they beat Czechia two to one.

This was Korea's first match of this World Cup.

But this win didn't come easily.

Why?

Because Korea fell behind first and only won later.

Let's take it slowly.

Yesterday's match was played at a stadium in Mexico.

More than forty thousand people came to watch.

Many Korean fans came too.

They came from far away.

They stood the whole time, cheering for Korea.

Their voices were loud and never stopped.

From the start, both teams played seriously.

Both teams wanted to win, so both tried hard.

In the first half, neither team scored.

The score was zero to zero — no one had scored.

In the second half, the match began to change.

Czechia scored first.

The scorer was a Czechia player.

And so Czechia went one to zero, in front.

Korea was behind, and a little anxious.

They thought: what do we do?

We're behind now.

Many Korean fans were worried too.

They feared Korea would lose the first game.

Some fans didn't dare to watch.

But Korea didn't give up.

They told themselves: there's still time, we can still play.

They kept pushing forward, wanting to get the goal back.

They attacked forward again and again.

After a few minutes, the chance really came.

Korea scored a goal!

The scorer was named Hwang In-beom.

One to one — the two teams were level.

The Korean fans in the stadium suddenly grew happy.

They shouted and jumped, very excited.

A moment ago they were worried; now there was hope again.

After scoring, Korea grew more confident.

They felt: we can win this game.

So they played even harder.

A little later, Korea scored again.

This goal was scored by Oh Hyeon-gyu.

Two to one — Korea was in front.

Korea chased from behind to in front — really not easy.

Near the end of the match, Czechia wanted to score again too.

They came very close to scoring.

At that point, the Korean fans were all nervous.

But the referee said the goal didn't count.

Because the scorer was in the wrong position, too far forward.

So that goal didn't count.

Korea was still two to one, in front.

Later, Korea's goalkeeper also blocked a very important shot.

He blocked it very well and protected the win.

In the end, the match ended, and Korea beat Czechia two to one.

Lose one goal first, then score two, and win in the end.

This shows Korea's heart is strong — they didn't give up easily.

While they were behind, they still believed they could win.

They kept telling themselves: it's not over, we can still chase.

That's exactly why they won in the end.

Many teams fall apart once they lose a goal — Korea didn't.

That, truly, is rare.

Many people said this was a very good match to watch.

Because right up to the end, you didn't know who would win.

A match like this is the most nerve-wracking to watch, and the most fun.

After the match, the Korean fans were all very happy.

They sang together and shouted the team's name.

For Korea, winning the first game this way is especially meaningful.

It's not just three points — it's also a kind of confidence.

Now Korea has three points in the group.

Win a match, and you get three points.

Interestingly, Mexico also won yesterday.

So both Korea and Mexico won their first match.

Their next game is against each other.

Two teams that both won meeting each other — that match will surely be thrilling.

For Korea, it would be even better if they could beat Mexico.

But Mexico is strong too, so it'll be hard.

Korea will have to keep working hard.

Czechia lost this one, so for now they have no points.

But there are more matches ahead, and they still have a chance.

As long as they play well, Czechia can still move forward.

Lose first, win later — a match like this is the most memorable.

We're looking forward to Korea's next game too.

Alright, that was Korea's first match.

Two goals, one comeback — really good to watch.

Thanks for listening, see you next time.
