Think about it: every year there are a few days.
在这几天里，有一些人会一起开一个会。
On these days, some people gather for a meeting.
这些人是谁呢？
Who are these people?
他们都是很有钱的人，也是很有名的人。
They are all very rich, and very famous, people.
我们很难见到他们。
We rarely get to see them.
他们坐在一起，聊什么呢？
Sitting together, what do they talk about?
他们聊的是钱，是很多很多的钱。
They talk about money — a great deal of money.
他们也聊我们大家以后的日子。
They also talk about all of our future days.
那么今年，他们去了哪里？
So this year, where did they go?
他们来到了中国，来到了一个很漂亮的海边城市。
They came to China, to a beautiful seaside city.
这个城市叫大连。
This city is called Dalian.
那么多有钱、有名的人，为什么要在一起开会呢？
Why do so many rich and famous people gather for a meeting?
这个会有一个名字，叫达沃斯。
This meeting has a name: Davos.
我简单说一下。
Let me explain briefly.
很多年前，在一个很远的国家，有了这个会。
Many years ago, in a faraway country, this meeting began.
每年冬天，世界上最重要的人都会去。
Every winter, the world's most important people go.
大家就叫它达沃斯。
Everyone calls it Davos.
后来，中国也开始开这样的会。
Later, China also began holding such a meeting.
因为是在夏天开，我们就叫它夏季达沃斯。
Because it's held in summer, we call it Summer Davos.
今年的夏季达沃斯，就在大连。
This year's Summer Davos is in Dalian.
今年来大连的人非常多，有一千多个。
A great many came to Dalian this year — more than a thousand.
他们来自很多很多不同的国家。
They come from many different countries.
那么今年，大家最爱聊的是什么呢？
So this year, what does everyone most love to talk about?
是两个字，AI，也就是人工智能。
Two letters: AI — that is, artificial intelligence.
还有机器人。
And also robots.
现在的机器人越来越厉害。
Robots today are more and more capable.
有的机器人，已经可以在工厂里工作了。
Some robots can already work in factories.
还有人说，以后一个人加上AI，也可以开一家公司。
Some even say that one day, one person plus AI could run a company.
这些人坐在一起，聊的就是以后AI会怎么改变我们的工作和生活。
Sitting together, what they discuss is exactly how AI will change our work and our lives.
你看，这样的会，听上去好像离我们很远。
You see, a meeting like this sounds far from us.
都是很大的人物，在说很大的事。
It's all big figures talking about big things.
但是他们说的那些事，最后都会慢慢地来到我们每个人的身边。
But the things they discuss will, in the end, slowly reach every one of us.
最后我想问你，如果你也能去这样的会，你最想听他们聊什么呢？
Finally, I want to ask you: if you could go to such a meeting, what would you most want to hear them discuss?
开一个会 = to hold a meeting. 开会 = to have a meeting.
