飞机很大很白。The airplane is very big and very white.
飞机在北京。The airplane is in Beijing.
飞机里下来一个人。A person comes down from the airplane.
那个人是谁？Who is that person?
是美国总统。It's the US president.
小红问妈妈：Xiaohong asks her mom:
"妈妈，他是谁？"Mom, who is he?"
"他是美国的总统。"He is the US president.
"美国是一个大国家。"The US is a big country.
"他是那个国家的老大。"He is the leader of that country."
"他为什么来中国？"Why did he come to China?"
"他来看一个朋友。"He came to see a friend.
"他来找中国的老大。"He came to find China's leader.
"中国的老大叫习近平。"China's leader is Xi Jinping.
"两个老大要见面。"The two leaders want to meet.
"要说很多事。"They want to talk about many things."
"他们说什么？"What did they talk about?"
"他们说钱。"they talked about money.
"美国和中国有很多生意。"The US and China do lots of business.
"两边都要做生意。"Both sides want to do business.
"两边都要赚钱。"Both sides want to make money.
"他们说和平。"they talked about peace.
"就是不打架。"It's not fighting.
"大家都好好的。"Everyone's fine.
"他们说朋友。"they talked about friendship.
"美国和中国，"The US and China,
"以前是好朋友。"used to be good friends.
"后来有一点不开心。"Later they got a little unhappy.
"要好好做朋友。"they want to be good friends again."
"那他们成功了吗？"So did they succeed?"
"也有，也没有。"Some yes, some no.
"他们没有吵架。"They didn't fight.
"没成功的是："What didn't succeed:
"很多大事还没解决。"many big things aren't resolved yet.
"以后还要看。"We'll have to see later.
"不是一天能好的。"Things don't get fixed in one day."
小红又问：Xiaohong asks again:
"那特朗普还在中国吗？"Is Trump still in China?"
"他来了三天。"He came for three days.
"他今天回家了。"He went home today.
"带了很多人。"he brought many people.
"有的人很有钱。"Some of the people are very rich.
"有的人做手机。"Some make phones.
"有的人做芯片。"Some make chips.
"他们也来中国。"They also came to China.
"我们也想在中国做生意。"We also want to do business in China.
"我们也想赚中国的钱。"We also want to earn Chinese money."
小红想了想。Xiaohong thought a bit.
"我有一个问题。"I have a question."
"美国是不是中国的朋友？"Is the US a friend of China or not?"
妈妈想了一下。Mom thought for a moment.
"这个问题不好回答。"This question is hard to answer.
"两个国家很大。"The two countries are big.
"两个国家有不一样的想法。"The two countries have different ideas.
"但是两个国家都要做生意。"But both countries want to do business.
"两个国家也都要和平。"Both countries also want peace.
"所以他们要说话。"So they have to talk.
"要慢慢来。"They have to take it slow.
"我们小的时候，"When we were little,
"也跟同学有问题。"we also had problems with classmates.
"有时候不开心。"Sometimes we were unhappy.
"但是我们还是要一起。"But we still had to be together.
"一起上学。"Go to school together.
"国家也是这样。"Countries are the same.
"中国和美国，"China and the US,
"都很重要。"Both are important.
"两边都要好。"Both sides need to be okay.
"两边都要好好说话。"Both sides need to talk things out."
"我懂一点了。"I get it a little."
"你以后会懂更多。"You'll understand more later.
"你看的事会更多。"you'll see more things."
电视上还在说。The TV is still talking.
说特朗普回去了。Saying Trump went back.
说他和习近平，Saying he and Xi Jinping,
两个老大都说：Both leaders said:
"我们是好朋友。"We are good friends."
小红看着电视。Xiaohong watches the TV.
"我希望他们真的是好朋友。"I hope they really are good friends.
"我希望大家都好。"I hope everyone is okay."
"妈妈也希望。"Mom hopes so too.
"妈妈也希望大家都好。"Mom also hopes everyone is okay."
