Last time, Zhou Wan moved into the Lu home and lived side by side with Lu Xixiao; both were quietly drawing closer, and he even discovered that the person he truly wanted to paint was her.

有一天，陆西骁把自己精心画的一幅画，郑重地送给了周挽。
One day, Lu Xixiao solemnly gave Zhou Wan a painting he'd made with great care.
那幅画里全是他的心意，周挽爱不释手。
That painting held all his feelings, and Zhou Wan couldn't put it down.
可这一幕，正好落进了周挽妈妈眼里。
But this scene landed right in the eyes of Zhou Wan's mother.

Zhou Wan's heart tore with it; she crouched on the floor and picked up the scraps, piece by piece.
第二天一早，妈妈就勒令她搬出陆家。
Early the next morning, her mother ordered her to move out of the Lu home.
偏偏这一天，是陆西骁最重要的日子——他要带着自己的作品集，去见一位很重要的教授。
And of all days, this was Lu Xixiao's most important one — he was to take his art portfolio to see a very important professor.
周挽心里一动，怀疑妈妈会对作品集下手。
Something stirred in Zhou Wan; she suspected her mother would tamper with the portfolio.
她赶回去一翻，果然在自己的柜子里，搜出了被调包的原件。
She rushed back to search, and sure enough, in her own cabinet, dug out the swapped original.
周挽顾不上别的，抱起真正的作品集，一路狂奔去找陆西骁，赶在最后一刻塞到他手上。
Zhou Wan dropped everything, grabbed the real portfolio, and ran all out to find Lu Xixiao, pressing it into his hands at the last moment.
后来，陆西骁在一场比赛里拿了冠军。
Later, Lu Xixiao won the championship in a competition.
他高兴得不行，第一个想分享的人，就是周挽。
He was thrilled beyond words; the first person he wanted to share it with was Zhou Wan.
可当他找到周挽时，整个人都僵住了。
But when he found her, he froze completely.
她被几个混混打得头破血流，脚也受了伤。
She'd been beaten bloody by a few thugs, her head split open, her foot injured too.
陆西骁又急又心疼，立刻报警，又小心翼翼地给她上药。
Anxious and aching for her, Lu Xixiao called the police at once and carefully dressed her wounds.
瞒了这么久，周挽心里早就堵得难受。
Having hidden it so long, Zhou Wan's heart had long been unbearably choked.
她终于开口：一开始，我是故意接近你的，我利用了你。
She finally spoke: at the start, I got close to you on purpose. I used you.
她以为，陆西骁听完一定会转身就走。
She thought Lu Xixiao would surely turn and walk away after hearing it.
可他没有。
But he didn't.
他只是定定地看着她，一字一句地说：没关系。
He just looked at her, steady, and said word by word: it's all right.
他说：从今往后，不管你做什么，我都信你，你什么都不用跟我解释。
He said: from now on, whatever you do, I trust you; you don't have to explain anything to me.
再后来，陆西骁才发现，周挽一个人打工，一个人守着住院的奶奶，把所有委屈都咽进了肚子里。
Later still, Lu Xixiao found out that Zhou Wan worked alone, kept watch over her hospitalized grandma alone, and swallowed every hurt by herself.
他什么都没多问，只是更想把她护在身后。
He didn't ask a thing; he only wanted to keep her more firmly behind him.
陆西骁把信任给得这样彻底，可周挽心里，还死死压着一个更大的秘密。
Lu Xixiao gave his trust so completely, yet Zhou Wan still pressed down an even bigger secret.
