Zhou Wan's heart split open inch by inch; she crouched down and gathered the scraps back off the floor, one piece at a time.
第二天天还没亮，母亲就冷冷地勒令她搬出陆家。
Before dawn the next day, her mother coldly ordered her to move out of the Lu home.
偏偏这一天，是陆西骁最要紧的日子——他要带着自己的作品集，去见一位分量极重的教授。
And of all days, this was Lu Xixiao's most crucial one — he was to take his art portfolio to see a professor of great weight.
周挽心里猛地一沉，直觉告诉她，母亲多半会对那本作品集动手脚。
Zhou Wan's heart dropped hard; instinct told her her mother had most likely tampered with that portfolio.
她赶回去翻箱倒柜，果然在自己柜子深处，搜出了被悄悄调包的原件。
She rushed back and turned the place upside down, and sure enough, deep in her own cabinet, dug out the quietly swapped original.
周挽什么都顾不上了，抱起那本真正的作品集，一路狂奔，赶在最后一刻，把它塞进了陆西骁手里。
Zhou Wan cast everything aside, grabbed the real portfolio, and ran all out, pressing it into Lu Xixiao's hands at the very last moment.
后来，陆西骁在一场决赛里一举夺冠。
Later, Lu Xixiao swept the championship in a final.
他高兴得几乎要跳起来，脑子里第一个冒出来的人，还是周挽。
He was so happy he nearly leapt up, and the first person to surface in his mind was, still, Zhou Wan.

Shocked and pained, Lu Xixiao called the police on the spot and, eyes red, dressed her wounds bit by bit.
瞒了这么久，那件事早已把周挽压得喘不过气。
Having hidden it so long, that thing had long left Zhou Wan unable to breathe.
她终于哑着嗓子开口：一开始，我是算计好了才接近你的，我利用了你。
She finally rasped it out: at the start, I calculated everything before getting close to you. I used you.
她几乎已经认定，陆西骁听完，会毫不犹豫地转身离开。
She was all but certain Lu Xixiao would hear it and turn to leave without a moment's hesitation.

But he didn't.

Later still, Lu Xixiao slowly discovered that Zhou Wan worked alone by day, kept watch over her hospitalized grandma alone by night, and swallowed all the bitterness by herself in silence.
