The two of them were close.
Lu Xixiao liked Zhou Wan very much.
Zhou Wan liked Lu Xixiao very much too.
Lu Xixiao was supposed to go abroad.
But right at this moment,
Zhou Wan's grandma passed away.
Grandma was gone.
Zhou Wan was very, very sad.
She missed grandma so much.
She stayed home alone and didn't want to eat.
Seeing Zhou Wan like this, Lu Xixiao's heart ached.
Lu Xixiao didn't leave.
He stayed, and kept Zhou Wan company.
Every day he stayed with her, every day he helped her.
Lu Xixiao said to Zhou Wan: don't be sad.
He said: I'm right here, I won't leave.
For many days, Zhou Wan was very sad.
But Lu Xixiao stayed with her every day.
Slowly, Zhou Wan got a little better.
With Lu Xixiao there, Zhou Wan wasn't so sad anymore.
This day was Zhou Wan's birthday.
Lu Xixiao gave Zhou Wan a bike.
It was the bike Zhou Wan had wanted.
This bike was very pretty.
Zhou Wan was so, so happy.
Lu Xixiao had a vehicle of his own.
That vehicle, Lu Xixiao loved.
But he sold that vehicle.
He wanted the money, to help Zhou Wan.
At this time, her mother came.
Her mother said to Zhou Wan:
You two are not from the same world.
Her mother wanted Zhou Wan to give up Lu Xixiao.
But Lu Xixiao wanted Zhou Wan.
Lu Xixiao kept staying by Zhou Wan.
Grandma was gone.
But Lu Xixiao was always there.
In this summer's hardest time,
it was Lu Xixiao who helped Zhou Wan get better.
