English transcript reference

These past few days, Wall Street has been saying one name: Leopold Aschenbrenner.

He is very young; he used to work at a big AI company, then started his own fund to invest just in AI.

Simply put, a fund is this: he manages many people's money and uses it to invest together.

And he bet almost all of the money on AI.

At first, this move was magic.

These two years AI has been red-hot, and the companies he invested in climbed one faster than the next.

His fund, at its peak, managed about forty-five billion dollars, and was once up more than fourfold.

Everyone thought this young man was the smartest mind of the age.

But just this month, the wind suddenly changed.

AI stocks began to plunge, and the heavier he had bet, the harder he was hit.

His money kept losing more and more, and he even had to sell his stocks to repay the money he had borrowed.

A fund once worth over forty billion collapsed like this in a few weeks.

The most ironic part: days earlier, he was still telling clients — now is the good time to buy the AI dip.

This event grips so many people because it's like a signal.

A few days ago, Google, Microsoft, and Meta were still spending furiously on AI;

now, the first people to bet big on AI have started to get hurt.

So everyone is asking the same question: this round of AI — is it an opportunity, or a big bubble?
