A country, like 中国 (China) or 韩国 (Korea). Used when talking about a place where people live together under one government.
The country of Korea. 韩 + 国 (country of Han). Sits between China and Japan.
听 (hear) + 过 (past experience marker). Used to ask 'have you ever heard about this thing before?'
The right-hand side. 右 = right, 边 = side. Opposite is 左边 (left side).
The informal everyday word for mother. Same character repeated.
Feeling happy. 高 (high) + 兴 (mood). When someone is in a good mood.
Used to ask why. Literally 'because of what.' Goes at the start of a question.
赚 (earn) + 钱 (money). To make money — usually from work or from investments.
手 (hand) + 机 (machine). A cell phone, the kind you carry in your hand.
A business — a place that makes things or provides services. Samsung is one example.
A super common verb meaning 'make' or 'do.' 做手机 = make phones; 做菜 = cook.
Low in price. Opposite of 贵 (expensive).
The famous Korean company. 三 (three) + 星 (star). Three Stars. Makes phones, TVs, and chips.
Having a quick mind. Used about people, and now also about AI.
回 (return) + 答 (response). To give an answer to a question.
Very impressive, very capable. Said about people, things, or capabilities you respect.
Used for prices, water level, or numbers going up. Opposite of 跌 (fall).
难 (difficult) + 过 (pass). Feeling sad — hard to get through.
Today's key word. 股 = a small share, 票 = a ticket/certificate. A small piece of ownership in a company.
芯 (core) + 片 (piece). The tiny chip inside a phone or computer that does the calculations.
