一千七百人聚在大连：今年的夏季达沃斯，世界在担心什么、期待什么？

这几天，在中国的大连，正在开一场很大的国际会议。

In these past few days, a large international conference is under way in Dalian, China.

来的人超过了一千七百位，来自九十多个国家。

More than 1,700 people attended, from over ninety countries.

有跨国大公司的老板，有各国的官员，也有顶尖的学者和专家。

There are heads of multinational corporations, officials from many countries, and top scholars and experts.

那么，这到底是个什么会？

So what kind of meeting is this exactly?

我们先说说"达沃斯"这三个字。

Let's first talk about the word 'Davos' itself.

其实，它本来是欧洲一个小镇的名字。

Actually, it was originally the name of a small town in Europe.

几十年来，每年冬天，全世界最有影响力的人都会聚到那里，讨论世界的经济和大事。

For decades, every winter, the world's most influential people have gathered there to discuss the world economy and great affairs.

时间一长，达沃斯就成了高端经济论坛的代名词。

Over time, 'Davos' became a byword for a high-level economic forum.

而我们今天说的，是它的夏天版。

And what we're talking about today is its summer edition.

它有一个正式的名字，叫新领军者年会。

It has a formal name: the Annual Meeting of the New Champions.

听不懂没关系，你只要知道，它是达沃斯论坛专门为中国和新兴市场办的一场夏季聚会。

If that's confusing, no matter — you just need to know it's the Davos forum's summer gathering, held specially for China and emerging markets.

所以大家都习惯叫它夏季达沃斯。

So everyone is used to calling it Summer Davos.

它每年都在中国举办，今年轮到了海滨城市大连。

It's held in China every year; this year it's the turn of the seaside city of Dalian.

说完了它是什么，我们再来看今年大家到底在聊什么。

Having covered what it is, let's look at what everyone is actually discussing this year.

今年大会的主题是四个字——引领创新。

This year's theme is four words: 'Innovating at Scale'.

说白了，就是想搞清楚一件事：新技术怎么才能真正变成实实在在的好处和机会。

Put plainly, it's about figuring out one thing: how new technology can truly become real, tangible benefits and opportunities.

而这其中被讨论得最多的，毫无疑问就是人工智能。

And among these, what's discussed most, without a doubt, is artificial intelligence.

比如，他们会聊到，未来每个人也许都会有一个自己的AI助手。

For example, they'll discuss how, in the future, everyone may have their own AI assistant.

他们也会聊到工厂里那些越来越能干的人形机器人。

They'll also discuss the ever-more-capable humanoid robots in factories.

甚至还有一个很有意思的说法，叫"一人公司"，意思是将来一个人靠着AI，就能撑起一整个公司。

There's even a fascinating idea called the 'one-person company' — meaning that one day a single person, relying on AI, could hold up an entire company.

当然，有期待也有担心。

Of course, there's hope, and there's worry too.

大家也在认真地讨论AI带来的新问题。

People are also seriously discussing the new problems AI brings.

比如，不是每个人都能用得起最好的AI，这会不会让人和人之间的差距越来越大？

For example, not everyone can afford the best AI — won't this widen the gap between people?

还有，我们的隐私和安全，又该怎么保护？

And how should our privacy and security be protected?

除了AI，这次大会还有一个绕不开的话题，那就是中国经济。

Beyond AI, the meeting has another unavoidable topic: China's economy.

未来中国经济会怎么走，全世界都在看。

Where China's economy will go, the whole world is watching.

说到这里，我想和你多聊一句。

Speaking of this, I want to say one more thing to you.

像达沃斯这样的会，听起来全是大词——经济、科技、全球化，好像离我们的生活很遥远。

A meeting like Davos sounds like all big words — economy, technology, globalization — as if far from our lives.

但事实上，这些大人物今天在台上争论的每一个问题，最后都会变成我们手机里的新功能、工作上的新变化，甚至我们孩子未来的新职业。

But in fact, every question these big figures argue over on stage today will become a new feature in our phones, a new change at work, even a new profession our children will one day hold.

最后，我想留给你两个问题。

Finally, I want to leave you two questions.

第一，面对越来越强的AI，你觉得普通人最应该做的是什么？

First, facing ever-stronger AI, what do you think an ordinary person should most do?

第二，如果有一天，"一个人加上AI就是一家公司"真的实现了，你最想用它来做什么？

Second, if one day 'one person plus AI is a company' truly comes true, what would you most want to use it for?

这两个问题没有标准答案，但是值得我们慢慢去想。

These two questions have no standard answer, but they're worth thinking about slowly.
