An amateur football match drew 62,356 spectators.
This was the 'Su Chao' final held on the evening of October 31 at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center Stadium.
'Su Chao' is short for the Jiangsu Provincial City Football League, with 13 cities each sending a team to participate.
Wuxi defeated Changzhou 2-1, lifting the championship trophy of this tournament for the first time.
The 62,356 people set a new record for single-match attendance in the 'Su Chao'.
It also broke the attendance record for domestic amateur football matches.
Last year's final had 62,329 people, only 27 more this year.
But tickets for the final were very hard to get.
The lottery winning rate for ticket purchases was only 2.7%, and the average winning rate for the entire season was 9.6%.
The league started on April 11, with the opening match being Changzhou at home against Nantong.
It ended on October 31; the season lasted a total of 204 days, one month longer than last year.
All matches were scheduled on Saturdays, and also covered several holidays: May Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day.
The 13 teams played 78 regular-season matches and 13 knockout matches, totaling 91 matches.
Matches were distributed across 17 stadiums in 13 cities, with each team having six home games and six away games.
Wuxi ranked first in the regular season, and Changzhou ranked third.
In the semifinals, Wuxi eliminated the defending champion Taizhou.
Both cities are by Lake Taihu, so this final was called the 'Taihu Derby'.
The average age of players this season was 22.32 years, 1.77 years younger than last year.
There were 430 players under 22, accounting for 66.46%.
The entire season had 3.0395 million live spectators, averaging about 33,400 per match.
Last year it was 2.4333 million, averaging 28,600 per match.
This season's total attendance was 606,000 more than last year, an increase of about 25%.
The average attendance per match increased by about 17% compared to last year.
In the 28th minute of the final, Wuxi's No. 79 Lu Zeling scored with a low shot, making it 1-0.
In the 51st minute of the second half, No. 9 Liu Yuhao scored with a header, making the score 2-0.
This was Liu Yuhao's 12th goal of the season, earning him the Golden Boot, or best scorer.
In the 84th minute, Changzhou's No. 36 Guo Jiatai scored from a narrow angle at the byline, pulling one goal back.
Some reports put this goal in the 83rd minute, but the score is not disputed.
The 2-1 score held until the final whistle, and Wuxi won the first 'Su Chao' championship in their history.
The single-match record was only 27 more people than last year, but the season's total audience was more than 600,000 higher.
