Today let's talk about a stirring World Cup group game: the Congo came from behind to beat Uzbekistan three to one.

Behind within ten minutes of kickoff, they answered with three goals in the second half to complete the turnaround — this game interpreted the word "comeback" to the fullest.

First, a quick word on the two teams.

The Congo comes from Africa, their players generally strong of body, outstanding in pace, with real power.

Uzbekistan comes from Asia, a fast-rising new force in recent years, their play more and more mature, no longer the unknown of the past.

The two are actually fairly close on paper, so pre-match it was seen as a hard-to-call contest.

And the start of the game caught everyone completely off guard.

In just the tenth minute, Uzbekistan's Shomurodov broke through first, one to zero.

Conceding at the start, the Congo was suddenly on the back foot.

Through the whole first half, though they kept trying to level, they never found a way to score, and the score stood at one to zero into the second half.

The Congo fans in the stands felt a chill.

But the real show was saved for the second half.

In the sixty-eighth minute, the Congo won a precious penalty, taken by Wissa.

He withstood the pressure and slotted it steadily home, one to one, the Congo finally leveling.

This goal hugely lit the Congo's fighting spirit, and they played fiercer and fiercer.

Just ten minutes later, Mayele added another, two to one, the Congo taking the lead for the first time, completely turning the situation around.

In stoppage time, Wissa stepped up once more to score his second of the match, three to one, sealing the win outright.

In barely twenty-odd minutes, the Congo scored three, forcibly turning a game they looked set to lose into an emphatic big win.

There's actually a detail well worth mentioning here: that penalty was the true turning point of the whole match.

At zero to one down, the Congo played somewhat anxiously and their attack wasn't fluid; but once they leveled, the situation changed completely.

The equalizer was like reigniting a stalled machine — the players' confidence rose, their running grew sharper, their passing braver to go forward.

And for Uzbekistan, the moment they were leveled, they'd already lost a step psychologically: the lead in hand gone, people instinctively grow flustered.

In soccer, momentum is a thing you can't see or touch, yet it often decides a game more than tactics do.

Today the Congo seized exactly that momentum and, in one breath, carried the game off.

How to judge this game?

For the Congo, this is a hugely uplifting and high-value comeback win.

Not flustered when behind, chasing it down step by step, and still able to go ahead and win in the end — this strong mentality and tenacity is a team's most precious asset.

And Wissa's brace, especially that stoppage-time goal that sealed the win, is the match's biggest hero.

On the strength of this win, the Congo kept their hopes of advancing alive — you could say they won at just the right time.

And for Uzbekistan, this defeat is indeed somewhat bitter.

They played quite well in the first half, not only scoring first but holding the lead into the middle of the second.

Sadly, as their stamina dropped, they couldn't withstand the Congo's assault in the closing stage, conceding three in a row.

But in fairness, as a young team with shallow World Cup experience, to compete this closely with an African force like the Congo — and even hold the advantage for a while — is itself huge progress.

They lost today, but the quality and potential they showed is enough to make their future worth anticipating.

That's the Congo three to one Uzbekistan — a stirring, brilliant comeback.
