Many people came to watch today.

Everyone wants to watch these two teams.

Both teams really want to win.

Portugal has one player, called Ronaldo.

Ronaldo is very famous.

He is one of the most famous players in the world.

He's getting old, but he's still playing.

Many people came just to watch him.

Alright, the game began.

At the start, Croatia scored first.

Now it was zero to one.

Croatia was ahead.

Portugal was a goal down.

But Portugal did not give up.

Later, Portugal got a penalty kick.

A penalty is easy to score.

It was Ronaldo who took it.

Ronaldo struck the ball into the net.

Now it was one to one.

The two teams were level.

Ronaldo was so happy.

The fans were so happy too.

After that, both teams wanted to score one more.

The game was almost over.

Right at the end, Portugal scored again.

The scorer is named Ramos.

Now it was two to one.

Portugal was ahead.

This goal came very, very late.

Croatia wanted to score one more too.

At the end, they seemed to score one.

But this goal didn't count.

Because someone was standing too far forward.

So it stayed two to one.

Later, the game ended.

Portugal beat Croatia two to one.

Ronaldo's Portugal won.

Ronaldo was so happy.

Croatia had to go home.

Croatia played very well too.

They even scored first.

But in the end they lost.

This was a very important game.
