粉笔 CEO 张小龙在人大开骂——一个人的失态,背后是一代人的焦虑
Fenbi CEO Snaps at RUC — One Man's Loss of Composure, a Generation's Anxiety
HSK 5-6 Chinese listening practice. A deeper read of the Zhang Xiaolong incident: the irony of cursing your own customers, three layers of analysis on personal fragility, generational anxiety, and how successful people see those who didn't get out.
This is an HSK 5-6 Chinese listening episode that runs about 10 minutes. The full Mandarin script is shown with tap-for-pinyin and a line-by-line English translation, so you can listen and read at once — comprehensible input in the sense of Stephen Krashen's i+1 theory. It teaches 12 key vocabulary words such as 责任、经济、社会 and walks through 7 grammar patterns, each explained in English with examples. The same news story is retold at 4 difficulty levels — use the level selector above to find the version that is challenging but still understandable for you.
为什么一个上市公司的 CEO。
Why would a CEO of a publicly listed company.
会站在中国最好的大学之一的讲台上。
Stand on the podium of one of China's best universities.
当着哲学院学生的面。
In front of philosophy school students.
连骂十几分钟。
And curse them for over ten minutes.
说他们"找不到工作是应该的"?
Saying they "deserve not being able to find jobs"?
而且他自己的公司。
And his own company.
赚的就是这些学生的钱。
Earns its money from those very students.
今天我们就来聊这件事。
Today let's talk about this.
事情发生在 2026 年 6 月 3 号晚上。
The event happened on the night of June 3, 2026.
地点是北京。
Location: Beijing.
中国人民大学哲学院。
The philosophy school of Renmin University of China.
讲座的主讲人。
The lecturer.
是粉笔科技的 CEO,张小龙。
Was Zhang Xiaolong, CEO of Fenbi Technology.
粉笔,你可能听过。
Fenbi — you've probably heard of it.
是中国最大的公考培训公司。
It's China's largest civil-service-exam prep company.
什么叫公考培训?
What is "gongkao peixun"?
就是教学生怎么考公务员。
It's teaching students how to take the civil service exam.
2023 年,粉笔在香港上市。
In 2023, Fenbi listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange.
从那以后,公司一直在公开市场上。
Since then, the company has been publicly traded.
张小龙是粉笔的创始人。
Zhang Xiaolong is Fenbi's founder.
40 多岁。
In his forties.
大学本科读的是哲学。
He studied philosophy as an undergraduate.
研究生在中山大学,还是哲学。
For his master's at Sun Yat-sen University, also philosophy.
他读书的时候,就开始兼职教公考。
Even while in grad school, he was already teaching civil service prep part-time.
后来放弃了博士。
Later he gave up on his PhD.
2013 年跑到北京。
In 2013 he ran to Beijing.
开了粉笔。
And started Fenbi.
赶上了移动互联网,赶上了公考热。
He caught the mobile internet wave and the civil-service-exam boom.
公司做大了。
The company grew large.
这次的讲座,本来是讲他自己最熟悉的领域。
This lecture was originally going to be on his most familiar territory.
公考行业。
The civil-service-prep industry.
但是讲座开始前。
But before the lecture started.
他临时改了题目。
He changed the topic at the last minute.
新题目是:"AI 时代的职业生涯规划"。
The new topic was: "Career planning in the AI era."
也就是说:AI 来了,年轻人该怎么找工作。
Meaning: AI is here, how should young people find jobs.
他先讲了一些自己的看法。
He first shared some of his own views.
他说,未来最好的工作是炒股。
He said the best job in the future is trading stocks.
原话是:"最好炒科技股。
His exact words were: "Best to trade tech stocks."
"更好的是炒美股。
"Even better, trade US stocks."
"再好一点的是带着全家一起炒股。
"And best of all, get the whole family to trade stocks together."
你可以想象,这种建议站在大学讲台上说。
You can imagine — standing on a university stage giving that advice.
气氛是有点奇怪的。
The atmosphere was a little strange.
台下的学生,大多是哲学院的本科生、研究生。
The students in the audience were mostly philosophy undergrads and grads.
他们对这个建议没什么反应。
They had no reaction to this advice.
没有人笑。
No one laughed.
也没有人提问。
No one asked questions.
就是安静地坐着。
They just sat quietly.
就是这个"安静",让张小龙失控了。
It was this "silence" that made Zhang Xiaolong lose control.
他可能本来以为自己说完会有掌声。
He'd probably expected applause after he finished.
或者至少有人附和。
Or at least someone to agree.
但是没有。
But there was nothing.
他开始在讲台上爆粗口。
He started cursing on the stage.
连续骂了好几分钟。
He cursed continuously for several minutes.
有学生偷偷录了视频。
Some students secretly recorded videos.
所以后来这些话都流传了出来。
So later all of this got out.
关键的几句是这样的:
The key sentences were these:
"你们对一个新鲜事物给社会带来的改变。
"You have no awareness of the changes new things bring to society."
"是毫无感知的。
"You are utterly oblivious."
"所以你们找不到工作,是应该的。
"So it's only right that you can't find jobs."
"你们除了考进体制内。
"Other than getting into the system."
"当个公务员混吃等死外。
"Working as civil servants, eating and waiting to die."
"没什么本事。
"You have no abilities at all."
"混吃等死"——
"Hun chi deng si" — "eating and waiting to die" —
这四个字,你可能要单独说一下。
You might need to gloss those four characters separately.
意思是:什么都不做,混着吃饭、等着死亡。
It means: doing nothing, just eating, waiting for death.
是非常重的话。
It's a very heavy thing to say.
一个公众人物。
A public figure.
在大学讲台上。
On a university stage.
对着学生说这种话。
Saying this kind of thing to students.
非常少见。
Is very unusual.
骂完,张小龙没等讲座结束。
After cursing, Zhang Xiaolong didn't wait for the lecture to end.
直接离场。
He left directly.
留下一屋子愣住的学生。
Leaving a roomful of stunned students.
当天晚上。
That night.
视频和录音就被上传到了网上。
The videos and audio recordings were uploaded online.
微博、小红书、知乎都炸了。
Weibo, Xiaohongshu, Zhihu all exploded.
第二天,6 月 4 号上午。
The next day, the morning of June 4.
粉笔科技发了一封道歉信。
Fenbi Technology issued an apology letter.
张小龙在信里写:
Zhang Xiaolong wrote in the letter:
"事件责任完全在我。
"The responsibility for this incident is entirely mine."
"我深刻反思。
"I deeply reflect."
"对中国人民大学和哲学院造成的负面影响,我深深致歉。
"For the negative impact on Renmin University and the philosophy school, I deeply apologize."
"我愿意承担相应的责任。
"I am willing to take on corresponding responsibility."
道歉信发了。
The apology was issued.
但是网友不太买账。
But netizens weren't buying it.
评论里最多的一句话是这样的:
The most common line in the comments was this:
"端起碗吃饭,放下碗骂娘。
"Pick up the bowl to eat, put down the bowl to curse mom."
意思是说:吃了人家的饭,又骂做饭的人。
Meaning: eating someone's food, then cursing the person who cooked it.
逻辑很简单。
The logic is simple.
粉笔卖的是公考培训。
What Fenbi sells is civil-service-exam prep.
来买课的学生,几乎都想做公务员。
The students who buy his courses almost all want to become civil servants.
他们付的钱,养活了粉笔,养活了张小龙。
Their money feeds Fenbi, feeds Zhang Xiaolong.
你现在站在台上骂他们考公是"混吃等死"。
You're now standing on a stage cursing their civil-service path as "eating and waiting to die."
那你的钱是怎么挣来的?
Then where did your money come from?
是从这些"混吃等死"的人身上挣来的。
It came from those very "eating and waiting to die" people.
这就是端起碗吃饭。
This is "pick up the bowl to eat."
放下碗骂娘。
"Put down the bowl, curse mom."
这是这件事的第一层。
That's the first layer of this thing.
但是这件事还有更深的几层。
But there are deeper layers to this.
我自己看的时候。
When I looked at it myself.
心里有三种感觉。
I had three feelings.
第一种感觉。
The first feeling.
是个人失态的层面。
Is on the level of personal loss of composure.
作为一个上市公司 CEO。
As a CEO of a publicly listed company.
站在大学讲台上爆粗口。
Standing on a university stage cursing.
不管学生怎么样。
Regardless of what the students did.
都不应该。
You shouldn't.
情绪管理是基本功。
Emotional control is a basic skill.
张小龙在这一点上失败了。
Zhang Xiaolong failed at it.
而且他失败的方式很丢人。
And he failed in a particularly embarrassing way.
是台下没鼓掌,他就骂台下。
The audience didn't applaud, so he cursed them.
这是非常脆弱的反应。
That's an extremely fragile reaction.
脆弱到不像一个 40 多岁的 CEO。
Fragile to a degree that doesn't fit a CEO in his forties.
更像一个被忽视的年轻人。
More like a young person who feels ignored.
第二种感觉。
The second feeling.
更复杂。
More complicated.
就是:他骂的那个现象,是真的。
It's that: the phenomenon he was cursing is real.
真的有几百万年轻人。
There really are millions of young people.
把考公务员当成唯一的出路。
Who treat civil service as the only path out.
真的有越来越多人。
There really are more and more people.
对私企、对创业、对新行业完全没有兴趣。
With no interest in private companies, in startups, in new industries.
只想进体制。
They only want to get into the system.
只想要一个铁饭碗。
They only want an iron rice bowl.
为什么?
Why?
不是因为他们懒。
It's not because they're lazy.
是因为他们看到的现实是这样的:
It's because what they see is this:
私企不稳定。
Private companies are unstable.
互联网大厂在裁员。
Internet companies are laying people off.
房地产塌了。
Real estate has collapsed.
做生意越来越难。
Doing business gets harder.
所以体制内变成了"唯一安全的地方"。
So the system has become "the only safe place."
学生不是在懒。
The students aren't being lazy.
学生在做风险评估。
The students are doing risk assessment.
他们的判断,是有道理的。
Their judgment makes sense.
张小龙的错。
Zhang Xiaolong's mistake.
不是骂错了对象。
Wasn't cursing the wrong audience.
是搞错了原因。
It was getting the cause wrong.
他把结果当成了原因。
He treated the consequence as the cause.
学生想考公。
The students want civil service.
不是因为他们没本事。
Not because they have no abilities.
是因为社会让他们没别的好选。
It's because society has left them no other good options.
第三种感觉。
The third feeling.
是最有意思的一层。
Is the most interesting layer.
就是:他骂的,其实是十几年前的自己。
It's that: what he was cursing was himself from a decade ago.
我刚才说过。
I mentioned this earlier.
张小龙大学读的就是哲学。
Zhang Xiaolong studied philosophy in college.
他高中老师当年告诉他:"学哲学,以后不好找工作。
His high school teacher told him at the time: "If you study philosophy, you won't easily find a job."
他知道这个评价是什么感觉。
He knows what that judgment feels like.
后来他选择了公考培训这个赛道。
Later he chose the civil-service-prep lane.
他可能就是因为不想"混吃等死"。
Maybe because he didn't want to "eat and wait to die."
才一脚跨出了那条传统的"考编"之路。
He took one step out of the traditional "get into the system" path.
他赌赢了。
And he bet right.
公司上市,赚了大钱。
The company listed, made a lot of money.
现在他回到一个哲学院的讲台上。
Now he returns to a philosophy school's stage.
看到的是十几年前的自己。
And sees himself from a decade ago.
按理说他应该理解他们。
By rights he should understand them.
但他没有。
But he didn't.
他骂他们。
He cursed them.
心理学上有个说法。
Psychology has a saying.
人最讨厌的,是身上"未完成的那个自己"。
What a person hates most is "the unfinished version of themselves" they still carry.
张小龙骂学生,可能不只是因为学生反应平淡。
Zhang Xiaolong cursing students may not just be because the students' reaction was flat.
可能是因为他看到了一个"如果我当年没赌赢,就是这个样子"的自己。
It may be because he saw an "if I hadn't bet right back then, I'd be like this" version of himself.
他骂他们,其实是在骂那个"差点成为他们"的自己。
What he was cursing was the self that "almost became them."
这个解释,不能为他开脱。
This explanation doesn't excuse him.
但能帮我们理解,这个失态背后的心理。
But it helps us understand the psychology behind the loss of composure.
说回这件事的影响。
Back to the impact of this thing.
粉笔的股价,这半年已经跌了 67%。
Fenbi's stock has dropped 67% in the past six months.
6 月 3 号,股价是 0.67 港币。
On June 3, the stock was at 0.67 Hong Kong dollars.
跟当年上市的时候相比,跌了很多。
A big drop from the IPO price.
这次事件之后。
After this incident.
公司形象进一步受伤。
The company's image takes another hit.
但具体股价会怎么走,还要再看。
But where the stock actually goes — we'll have to see.
道歉信里有一句很关键的话。
The apology letter has one key sentence.
"我愿意承担相应的责任。
"I am willing to take on corresponding responsibility."
"相应的责任"——
"Corresponding responsibility" —
这是公关常用的话术。
This is standard PR phrasing.
没有具体内容。
With no specifics.
要不要辞职?
Should he resign?
要不要赔偿?
Should he pay compensation?
要不要退还学费?
Should he refund tuition?
现在都没说。
None of it has been said.
真正的考验,还在后面。
The real test is still ahead.
关于这件事。
About this whole thing.
我想跟你说三个更大的趋势。
I want to tell you about three larger trends.
第一个趋势。
The first trend.
公考热在中国,已经不只是一个就业选择。
The civil service exam in China is no longer just an employment choice.
而是一代人的精神状态。
It's the mental state of a generation.
当几百万人都把唯一的安全感寄托在"考编"上的时候。
When millions of people put their only sense of security on "getting into the system."
说明社会上别的赛道,已经没人相信了。
It means no one believes in the other lanes anymore.
这是一个值得整个社会反思的信号。
That's a signal worth the whole society reflecting on.
不是骂学生就能解决的。
Cursing students won't solve it.
第二个趋势。
The second trend.
是 CEO 的话语权问题。
Is the question of CEO speech authority.
过去十几年。
Over the past decade or so.
互联网创业潮里。
In the internet startup wave.
很多 CEO 习惯了被追捧。
Many CEOs got used to being adored.
说什么都有人记下来。
Whatever they said, someone wrote it down.
他们慢慢失去了对场合的判断力。
They slowly lost their judgment about the occasion.
张小龙不是第一个。
Zhang Xiaolong isn't the first.
也不会是最后一个。
And won't be the last.
这是一个集体的失态。
This is a collective loss of composure.
第三个趋势。
The third trend.
也是最重要的一个。
And the most important one.
就是关于"成功者怎么看年轻人"的问题。
Is the question of "how successful people see young people."
一个赌赢了的人。
A person who bet right.
回头看那些还在原地的人。
Looking back at those still standing where they started.
他可以选择共情。
He can choose empathy.
也可以选择鄙视。
Or he can choose contempt.
张小龙选了鄙视。
Zhang Xiaolong chose contempt.
其实就是在说:"我做到了,你做不到,那是你不行。
Which is basically saying: "I did it, you can't, so you're not good enough."
但是经济不一样了。
But the economy is different now.
时代不一样了。
The era is different.
他当年走过的路。
The path he walked back then.
今天年轻人未必走得通。
Today's young people may not be able to walk it.
这不是道德问题。
This isn't a moral question.
是事实问题。
It's a factual question.
真正聪明的成功者。
A truly smart successful person.
应该看到这个事实。
Should see this fact.
然后帮年轻人。
And then help young people.
而不是骂年轻人。
Not curse them.
最后。
Finally.
我想留两个问题给你。
I want to leave two questions with you.
第一个比较具体。
The first is more concrete.
在你的国家或者文化里。
In your country or culture.
有没有像中国"考公"这样的"热门赛道"?
Is there a "hot lane" like China's "civil service exam"?
就是一大批年轻人。
A single path that masses of young people.
都挤着想去的同一条路。
All push to try to enter?
那条路是什么?
What is it?
为什么大家都挤过去?
Why are they all pushing toward it?
你自己怎么看那条路?
What do you yourself think of that path?
第二个问题。
The second question.
往大一点想。
Think a bit bigger.
如果有一天。
If one day.
你赌赢了。
You bet right.
站到了一个比当年的同龄人高很多的位置。
And you stood at a position much higher than your peers at the time.
回头看那些没赌赢的人。
Looking back at those who didn't bet right.
你会怎么对待他们?
How would you treat them?
是觉得他们"活该没本事"?
Would you feel they "deserve to be useless"?
还是觉得"他们只是没赶上"?
Or feel "they just didn't catch the wave"?
你怎么知道哪一种才是真的?
How do you know which one is real?
这两个问题,没有标准答案。
These two questions have no standard answer.
但是它们,值得你慢慢地想。
But they're worth thinking about slowly.
HSK 4. 承担相应的责任 = take on corresponding responsibility — directly from Zhang's apology letter.
HSK 4. 但是经济不一样了 = but the economy is different now.
HSK 4. 一个新鲜事物给社会带来的改变 = the changes a new thing brings to society.
HSK 4. 心理学上有个说法 = there's a saying in psychology.
HSK 3 noun/verb. 公司形象进一步受伤 — influence/impact on company image.
HSK 4. Within the HSK 1-4 target for normal. Implied throughout the stock-trading-advice discussion.
Beyond HSK 1-4. 失 (lose) + 态 (manner). A common modern Chinese word for public meltdowns. The episode's title itself uses it.
Beyond HSK 1-4. 一代人的焦虑 = a generation's anxiety. Central concept of the episode's second-layer analysis.
Beyond HSK 1-4. 进体制 = get into the system (i.e. become a civil servant or state-enterprise employee).
Beyond HSK 1-4. The opposite of 共情 (empathy). Zhang Xiaolong 选了鄙视 = chose contempt.
Beyond HSK 1-4. 公关常用的话术 = standard PR phrasing. A word with a slightly cynical connotation.
Beyond HSK 1-4. 赛 (race) + 道 (road). Originally a racing-track word, now used in business / careers to mean a career path or industry niche.
* beyond level超纲词
Subject + 之所以... + 是因为...

他骂他们,其实是在骂那个'差点成为他们'的自己。
对... + 来说
Topicalizer: 'as for / from the perspective of'.
对中国人民大学和哲学院造成的负面影响,我深深致歉。
学生不是在懒。学生在做风险评估。
Subject + 把 + Object + Verb-phrase
把 construction re-orders the object before the verb, emphasizing disposal or result.
他把结果当成了原因。
把考公务员当成唯一的出路。
几百万人都把唯一的安全感寄托在'考编'上。
不是 + Reason1 + 是 + Reason2
Correction: 'not because X, but because Y'.
不是因为他们懒。是因为他们看到的现实是这样的。
不是骂错了对象。是搞错了原因。

越来越 = 'more and more'. Marks an ongoing tendency.
做生意越来越难。
真的有越来越多人。

评论里最多的一句话是这样的。
他在讲台上越说越激动。
回头看那些还在原地的人。

把考公务员当成唯一的出路。
