说他们不同意。To say they don't agree.
这叫抗议。This is called a protest.
抗议就是说你不同意。A protest means you say you don't agree.
你不喜欢。You don't like something.
你想让别人知道。You want others to know.
这次抗议很大。This protest was very big.
差不多九百万人。About nine million people.
九百万是多少？How much is nine million?
很多很多人。Very, very many people.
比很多城市的人都多。More than many cities.
可能是美国最大的一次。It might be the biggest one in America ever.
以前没有这么多人。There were never this many before.
大城市有。Big cities had them.
小城市也有。Small cities had them.
小镇也有。Small towns had them too.
三千多个地方。More than three thousand places.
洛杉矶有。Los Angeles had them.
很多很多城市都有。Many, many cities had them.
他们什么时候出来的？When did they come out?
三月二十八号。March twenty-eighth.
是一个星期六。It was a Saturday.
星期六不上班。People don't work on Saturday.
所以很多人可以出来。So many people could come out.
这不是第一次。This was not the first time.
以前也有过。There were times before.
去年六月有一次。Last June there was one.
那次多少人？How many people that time?
大概五百万人。About five million.
五百万已经很多了。Five million was already a lot.
去年十月又有一次。Last October there was another one.
那次七百万人。That time seven million people.
九百万人。Nine million people.
为什么越来越多？Because more people are unhappy.
因为不高兴的人越来越多。Things did not get better.
反而更不好了。What do they call this event?
叫No Kings。No means don't want.
No是不要的意思。Kings means kings.
Kings是国王的意思。Don't want a king.
不要国王。America has no king.
美国没有国王。America has a president.
美国有总统。But a president is not a king.
但是总统不是国王。A king does whatever he wants.
国王想做什么就做什么。A president cannot.
总统不可以。A president must listen to the people.
总统要听人民的。People means regular folks.
就是你和我。If the president doesn't listen.
如果总统不听。People will say no.
就像现在。They came out to say no.
他们出来说不行。We don't want a king.
我们不要国王。What did the protesters do?
他们举牌子。Signs had words on them.
牌子上写着字。Words they wanted to say.
写着他们想说的话。They shouted slogans.
他们喊口号。Slogans are words everyone says together.
口号就是大家一起说的话。Like everyone shouting together.
比如大家一起喊。No kings! No kings!
不要国王！They did not hit anyone.
这就是口号。They did not break things.
他们没有打人。They were peaceful.
没有坏东西。Peaceful means no fighting.
不用暴力。Police were there too.
只用说话。Police watched from the side.
警察在旁边看着。Too many people on the road.
在洛杉矶。Highway entrances were closed.
路上人太多了。Because too many people.
高速公路的入口关了。Cars could not drive.
因为人太多。Why are Americans unhappy?
车开不了。There are several reasons.
有几个原因。Some people were arrested.
第一个。The way they arrested people was too violent.
抓人的方式太暴力。Everyone was very angry.

政府关门了。Many people have no wages now.

可以举牌子。This is their right.
可以喊口号。A right is something you can do.
这是他们的权利。Whether you agree with them or not.
权利就是你可以做的事。This right is important.
不管你同不同意他们。Nine million people walked together.
这个权利很重要。This is a very, very big thing.
九百万人一起走。The whole world is watching.
这是很大很大的事。People from many countries are watching.
全世界都在看。They also want to know.
