风景 (fēngjǐng) is the Chinese noun for 'scenery,' 'landscape,' or a 'view' — the natural or scenic appearance of a place, especially beautiful mountains, water, and countryside (风景优美 beautiful scenery, 看风景 to enjoy the view).
It is register-neutral and common in travel talk and description. Unlike English 'landscape,' 风景 emphasizes the pleasant, view-worthy quality of a scene, so it usually implies attractive scenery — a bleak industrial view would not naturally be called 风景. It also appears figuratively: 一道风景 ('a scene / a sight') describes something eye-catching, like a striking person in a crowd.
The related word 风景区 means 'scenic area.' For a painting genre or terrain in the abstract, Chinese uses 风光 or 地形 instead.
