How to Think About It
更是 escalates by reframing, not by listing. The first half accepts the obvious description; the second half says 'and beneath that, here is the real story.' The second clause should feel weightier — broader scope, deeper meaning, higher stakes — than the first. If the two clauses are roughly equal, use 不仅是...也是... instead and skip the rhetoric.

Common Mistake
Learners drop 仅仅 (the doubled 仅) and write 不是...更是..., which loses the 'not just' meaning and turns it into 'it's not X, it's even more Y' — a confused mix of negation and escalation. Keep both 仅 characters.
