无论是...还是...抑或是...
Reach for this when you want to sweep across three or more scenarios and declare that NONE of them changes the outcome — 'whether it's X, or Y, or even Z, [the same thing holds].' It's the expanded, more literary cousin of 无论是...还是.... 抑或是 adds a third, optional case with a formal flourish, common in essays, op-eds, and reflective writing.
Structure
无论是 [X], 还是 [Y], 抑或是 [Z], [都 / 也] [OUTCOME]
wúlùn shì... háishì... yìhuòshì...
How to Think About It
The three slots are escape doors that all lead back to the same room. No matter which door you walk through (X, Y, or Z), the outcome is identical — that's the whole point. The closing clause must use 都 or 也 to seal the universal claim. Without 都/也, the list dangles. The 抑或是 slot lifts the register and signals you're considering even an unusual or unexpected case, not just two obvious ones.
Examples
无论是城市的喧嚣, 还是乡村的宁静, 抑或是海边的浪声, 他都喜欢。
Wúlùn shì chéngshì de xuānxiāo, háishì xiāngcūn de níngjìng, yìhuòshì hǎibiān de làng shēng, tā dōu xǐhuān.
Whether it's the bustle of the city, the quiet of the countryside, or even the sound of waves at the shore, he loves all of it.
无论是孩子, 还是大人, 抑或是老人, 都需要被认真对待。

Whether it's writing, painting, or even music, she does it all beautifully.
Common Mistake
Learners drop the 都 or 也 in the final clause because the English version ('whether X or Y, the answer is...') doesn't need it. Chinese requires the universal marker to land the claim. Learners also use 抑或是 in casual speech — it's almost purely written.
无论是工作还是学习抑或是娱乐, 他很认真。
无论是工作还是学习, 抑或是娱乐, 他都很认真。
