对于...来说 (duìyú...lái shuō) — for (someone); from the perspective of
Use this to frame whose viewpoint or situation you are about to discuss. 对于年轻人来说 = 'for young people' / 'from young people's perspective.' Common in essays, news analysis, and any time the writer wants to make explicit that the next claim is being judged from a specific group's vantage. It anchors the comment in someone's experience instead of stating it as universal truth.

How to Think About It
对于 introduces the perspective; 来说 closes the frame and says 'speaking from that angle.' Together they wrap a person or group into a viewpoint capsule, and the rest of the sentence is true within that capsule. Drop 来说 and 对于 alone means 'regarding / with respect to' — different job. Drop 对于 and 来说 just dangles. The pair is what gives you the perspective-framing meaning. In casual speech, people often shorten to 对...来说.

Common Mistake
Learners drop 来说 and produce '对于年轻人，找工作很难' — which sounds incomplete. 对于 alone is a topic marker meaning 'as for' and feels stranded here. Adding 来说 closes the perspective and tells the listener the frame is set.

Don't Confuse With
对...来说
Same meaning, lighter register. Drop the 于 in casual speech (对我来说). Keep 对于 for writing or formal speech.
在...看来
'In X's view' — for explicit opinions rather than situations. 在我看来 = 'in my opinion'; 对我来说 = 'for me / in my situation.'
对...而言
Formal/written equivalent of 对于...来说. Use in essays and editorial writing. 对于...来说 fits both written and conversational registers.
