也...也...
Reach for this when you want to list two (or more) things that are simultaneously true about the same subject — 'both X and Y,' or 'X as well as Y.' Each clause gets its own 也, and the subject usually stays the same across both. It's a simple, conversational way to stack parallel facts: the company sells TVs AND fridges, my brother is tall AND fast, the city is big AND clean. The repetition of 也 makes the parallel feel deliberate.

How to Think About It
Each 也 plants a flag saying 'and another one.' Think of it as ticking items off a list out loud: 'also this, also that.' The two predicates have to be the same KIND of thing — two verbs, two adjectives — not one of each. The subject usually only appears once at the front; both 也 phrases hang off it.

他也会说中文，也会说英文。

Common Mistake
Learners use 和 ('and') to link the two predicates because that's what English does. 和 connects nouns, not verb phrases or adjectives. For predicate lists you need 也...也... (or 又...又...).
公司也有很多人和有很多钱。

Don't Confuse With
又...又...
Same 'both X and Y' meaning but punchier and more common for adjectives describing one entity ('又便宜又好吃'). Use 又...又... when emphasizing the combo as a vibe; use 也...也... when listing facts more matter-of-factly.
既...又...
More written/formal version of 又...又..., often introducing two qualities of one subject ('既聪明又努力'). Use in essays and slightly formal speech; 也...也... stays casual.
也 [VERB] (single 也)
A single 也 means 'also/too' — adding one new thing to a previous statement. The double 也...也... structure lists two parallel things in one sentence.
