无论... 还是... 都...

How to Think About It
无论 builds a 'doesn't matter which' bracket; 还是 lists the alternatives inside; 都 in the result clause guarantees uniformity. Picture a switch that has multiple positions — wherever you flip it, the same light turns on. The structure REQUIRES 都 (or 也) in the result clause; without it, the sentence loses its 'regardless' force. The alternatives must be genuine alternatives, not just two random nouns.

Common Mistake
Learners drop 都 from the result clause because English 'no matter A or B, I'll do Y' has no equivalent particle. In Chinese, 都 is what carries the 'all the same' meaning — without it, the sentence reads as a normal coordinated list, not as a regardless-of-which statement.

不管...还是...都...
Casual spoken version. Identical structure and meaning — just less formal. Use 不管 with friends and family; 无论 in writing, news, or formal speech.

即使...也...
'Even if X, still Y' — only one hypothetical condition, not a list of alternatives. 无论...还是...都... sweeps across multiple options; 即使...也... grants one extreme case.
