随着
Reach for 随着 when one change drives or accompanies another — 'as X happens, Y follows.' It's the connector you use to frame trends: as the economy grows, as more people move online, as AI develops. The clause after 随着 names a developing situation; the second clause says what that development brings with it. Common in news, essays, and any time you want to sound like you're describing a real-world trend rather than a single moment.

How to Think About It
随着 needs a moving target. The thing after it must be something changing or unfolding over time (growth, spread, increase, development), not a static fact. 'As it rains' works; 'as the table is wooden' doesn't. If you can't put 'the development of' or 'the increase in' in front of it, 随着 is probably wrong.

Common Mistake
Learners use 随着 with a single point-in-time event, the way English uses 'with' or 'as' casually. 随着 expects a process or ongoing change, not 'when she walked in' or 'as I got home.'

Don't Confuse With
因为...所以...
因为 states a fixed reason. 随着 frames an ongoing change that brings a result along with it. Use 因为 for static causes, 随着 for trends.
...的时候
Use 的时候 for a single moment ('when I arrived'). Use 随着 only for a process that unfolds over time.
越来越...
越来越 says a single thing is increasing. 随着 links that increase to a separate consequence.
