Today we're talking about a World Cup quarter-final: France beat Morocco two to zero.

Winning this game means reaching the final four.

First, a word on France.

France are one of the strongest teams in the world, and a title favorite at this World Cup.

Their most famous player is Mbappé, one of the best goal-scoring forwards in the world.

Now a word on Morocco.

Morocco come from Africa, have improved hugely in recent years, and are a very capable team.

Alright, let's look at the game.

In the first half, both teams played cautiously, and neither scored.

In fact, France even won a penalty, but sadly Mbappé didn't convert it.

So the first half ended still at zero to zero.

But in the second half, France finally exploded into life.

In the sixtieth minute, Mbappé took his chance and scored — one to zero.

This was also Mbappé's twentieth World Cup goal, truly remarkable.

Just a few minutes later, France scored again.

In the sixty-sixth minute, Dembélé added another — two to zero.

A two-goal lead put France firmly in control.

Morocco wanted to pull one back, but France defended very well and didn't concede a single goal.

In the end, France won comfortably, two to zero, and reached the semi-finals.

So, how should we view this game?

For France, this is a powerful and mature win.

This is already their third straight World Cup semi-final — very impressive.

And Mbappé keeps growing steadier on his path in the Golden Boot race.

For Morocco, losing is of course a shame.

But they came all the way to the quarter-finals, the pride of African teams.

Though they lost today, their journey was wonderful.

That's France two to zero Morocco, a win belonging to Mbappé, and to France's quality.

See you next match.
