炽夏 Chì Xià Never-Ending Summer
Learn Chinese through the drama you’re already watching. Every new drop becomes a lesson — at your level.
炽夏 (Never-Ending Summer) is the drama we're turning into Chinese lessons. You already want to know what happens next — that pull is the thing textbooks can't buy. Watch the episode, then read and listen to a recap written at your level, so the Mandarin actually lands.

- You already want to finish it. The hard part of studying — showing up — is solved for free. You come back to find out what happens.
- It's the real language. The way people actually argue, tease and flirt — the contractions and slang a textbook sands off.
- The recap keeps it in reach. A retelling at your HSK band is comprehensible input — the same story in Chinese you can follow, so words stick from context.
- The words come back. One show reuses its own names, places and beats, so the useful words recur across episodes.
How the leveled recaps work
Same episode, four difficulties. A beginner reads it in the simplest Chinese; someone near HSK 5 gets it close to how the show actually talks. Every recap has audio, a transcript that highlights as it plays, and the key words pulled out. Inside the player, bump a recap easier or harder whenever it stops fitting.

《炽夏》 Chì Xià Never-Ending Summer
Based on the novel "Zhui Luo" by Tian Cu Yu. To pay for her ill grandmother’s medicine, top student Zhou Wan approaches the unruly Lu Xixiao — her estranged mother’s stepson. What starts as a deal slowly turns real, until a misunderstanding tears them apart. Ten years later they meet again at work, and old feelings reignite.
Fluentide makes original Chinese-learning episodes inspired by the show — we don't host or stream the drama itself. How the method works →
How to use it
- Watch, or don't — your call. Stream the episode, or jump straight to the recap and watch it easy later.
- Pick the level you can almost follow. Not the easy one — the one that stretches you a little.
- Listen and read at once. Play the audio, follow the highlighted transcript, tap words you don't know.
- Level up when it feels easy. When a level stops challenging you, move to the next one on the same episode.
