What is Chinese 听写?
听写 literally combines “listen” and “write.” In Mandarin dictation practice, you hear a phrase or sentence and reconstruct it in Chinese characters. The gap between recognizing a word in conversation and recalling its exact characters makes 听写 especially useful for listening accuracy and literacy.

What is Chinese dictation practice?
Chinese dictation, or 听写 (tīngxiě), is a listening exercise where you hear Chinese and write the characters you recognize. It trains sound-to-character recall as well as careful listening.
Do I need an account?

This tool uses the Mandarin voices installed on your device or supplied by your browser. Voice names, accents, quality, and availability therefore differ between phones and computers.
Does punctuation affect my result?
The main score ignores punctuation, spacing, and width differences so character recognition stays central. You also get a separate exact result that includes punctuation.
