淡人 (dàn rén) means a chill, unbothered person in gen-z Chinese slang. A low-key, emotionally understated person — unbothered, even-tempered, hard to rattle. Frequently used as a self-description. Literally, it means "diluted person".

Where 淡人 comes from
The other half of the 浓人 / 淡人 pair. Being 淡 is treated as enviable in an exhausting environment, which is why it reads as a compliment rather than an accusation of coldness.
