无论 / 不管...都...
Reach for this when you want to say the result holds no matter what the condition is — rain or shine, A or B, whether or not. 无论 and 不管 are interchangeable in meaning; 不管 is what people say in conversation, 无论 is what they write. The 都 in the second clause is the key piece — it's what closes the loop and signals 'all of these cases lead to the same outcome.'

How to Think About It
The first half opens a range of possibilities, the second half slams them all into one outcome. The 'variable condition' must contain a choice — an A-or-B (是X还是Y), a yes-or-no (有没有), or a question word (谁/什么/怎么). A flat statement after 无论 sounds broken to a native ear, because there's nothing to be 'regardless of.'

Common Mistake
Learners drop the 都 because the English 'no matter what' doesn't have a matching word for it. In Chinese the 都 isn't optional — without it the second half feels like a fragment.

Don't Confuse With
即使...也...
Use 即使 when you're conceding ONE specific extreme case ('even if it rains'), not a range of options ('rain or not').
只要...就...
Opposite logic. 只要 says the result depends on one condition being met; 无论 says the result holds regardless of the condition.
不管怎样
Fixed expression meaning 'in any case / anyway,' used standalone as a discourse marker, not as the full grammar pattern.
