和...有关 / 和...有关系
Reach for this when you want to say something is connected to or has to do with something else — 'related to,' 'has to do with.' 和...有关 is tighter and slightly more written; 和...有关系 is fuller and more conversational. Both link a topic to a broader subject without claiming causation. Common when introducing topics ('this article is about climate'), explaining relevance ('your question relates to grammar'), and chatting about interests. Neutral register — works in essays, conversations, and news.

A + 和 + B + 有关 / 有关系.

How to Think About It
Think of 有关 as 'has connection with.' It's a verb phrase, not a preposition — that's why 和 introduces B and 有关 finishes the sentence. The English instinct is 'A is related TO B'; in Chinese, B sits between 和 and 有关. Swap 跟 for 和 in speech — same meaning. Add 系 (关系) for a slightly warmer, more conversational feel.

Common Mistake
Learners place 有关 before B, copying English 'related to B.' In Chinese, 和 + B comes first, then 有关. The B is the middle, not the end.

Don't Confuse With
关于 + Noun
'About / regarding' — comes at the front of a clause ('关于这件事，我想说...'). 和...有关 lives inside the main clause as a predicate.
和...有关系
Spoken-leaning variant of 和...有关. Adds 系 for a softer, fuller feel. Use 有关 in writing, 有关系 in conversation.
对...有影响
'Has an effect on' — claims influence, not mere relatedness. Use 影响 when one thing changes another; use 有关 when they merely share a topic.
