无论如何 (wúlùn rúhé) — regardless; no matter what
Reach for this when you want to sweep aside every objection, condition, or counterargument and commit to a position anyway. It is the speaker's way of saying 'I have heard all sides, and I am still landing here.' Slightly formal — common in news, op-eds, and serious conversation, less common in casual chat with friends, where 反正 does similar work.

How to Think About It
无论如何 closes a debate rather than opening one. Unlike 无论 + question word (无论谁/无论什么/无论多么) which scans across options, 无论如何 is the lid: it does not need a list of conditions because it dismisses ALL of them at once. Treat it as the Chinese equivalent of 'come what may' — it commits the speaker.

Common Mistake
Learners try to follow 无论如何 with a 都 the way they would with 无论谁 or 无论什么. But 无论如何 already absorbs the universal sweep; adding 都 to the main clause sounds redundant and overly textbook. Native usage just states the conclusion directly after the comma.

Don't Confuse With
反正
Same dismissive feel, but 反正 is colloquial and often sounds resigned or shruggy. Use 反正 with friends, 无论如何 in writing or serious speech.
无论...都...
Use this when you want to actually list the conditions you are dismissing (无论谁来都不行). 无论如何 skips the list entirely.
