无论……都……
Reach for this when you want to say a result holds across all possible conditions — 'no matter what/who/how, the outcome is the same.' 无论 introduces the open variable (using a question word like 谁, 什么, 怎么, 多), and 都 in the result clause sweeps every case into the same outcome. Common in formal writing, speeches, and any statement of universal truth or rule.

How to Think About It
Inside the 无论 clause, the question word (谁/什么/多) loses its question force and becomes 'whoever/whatever/however.' The 都 in the result clause is what locks the result as universal — without it, the sentence sounds incomplete. Compare with 无论...还是...: that one lists specific alternatives; this one uses a question word for an open-ended range.

Common Mistake
Learners drop 都 because English 'no matter who comes, I will go' doesn't require it. Chinese requires 都 (or 也) in the result clause to lock in 'in every case.' Without it, the sentence dangles.

Don't Confuse With
无论……还是……
Use 还是 when listing specific options (A or B). Use the question-word version when the range is open ('no matter who/what').
不管...都...
Same meaning, more colloquial. 不管 in speech; 无论 in formal writing or speech.
即使...也...
即使 picks one hypothetical extreme case ('even if'). 无论...都... covers all cases at once ('no matter what').
