既 A 又 B = 'both A and B,' simultaneously, no half-measuring. Use 一半...一半 when you want to flag that neither label alone is fully right.

不是 A 就是 B = 'either A or B' — forces a binary. 一半是 A，一半是 B rejects the binary and says both are true at once.
X 既是 A 也是 B
