How to Think About It
角度 literally means 'angle,' and that's how to picture this pattern — you're tilting the camera before judging. Different from 对...来说 (which centers a PERSON's perspective), 从...角度看 centers a FRAMEWORK or DISCIPLINE: legal angle, historical angle, marketing angle. It also implies the speaker is about to do some analytical work, not just share an opinion. Expect a thoughtful sentence to follow, not a one-liner.

Common Mistake
Learners use 从...角度看 for personal feelings, but the pattern wants an ANALYTICAL frame — a field, profession, or systematic lens. Saying '从我的角度看, 我喜欢这个' sounds odd; you'd just say '我喜欢这个.' Use 对...来说 for personal experience, 从...角度看 for an analytical viewpoint.

对 X 来说 centers a PERSON or GROUP's experience ('for me, this is hard'). 从 X 角度看 centers a DISCIPLINE or FRAMEWORK ('from a legal angle, this is risky'). Personal feeling vs. analytical lens.
在 X 看来
在 X 看来 = 'in X's view' — specifically about a person's perception or belief. 从 X 角度看 is more neutral and works for impersonal frameworks like fields and disciplines. Use 在...看来 when X is a person with an opinion.
就 X 而言
就 X 而言 = 'as far as X is concerned' — very formal, used in essays. 从 X 角度看 is slightly less formal but still analytical. Both work in writing; only 从...角度看 sounds natural in spoken explanations.
在...看来
在 X 看来 = 'in X's view' — a person's opinion. 从 X 角度 = 'from the angle of X' — an analytical lens (a field, a role). Use 看来 for people, 角度 for disciplines or stances.
对...来说
