Reach for this self-Q&A structure when you want to grab attention, then immediately deliver the answer. A speaker poses 为什么...？and answers themselves with 因为... It's one of the most common rhetorical moves in spoken explanations, podcasts, lectures, advertising, and news commentary. The 为什么 part can be a full question or a clipped 'why?' tagged onto a previous statement, and 因为 launches the answer right after the question mark.

How to Think About It
This is a rhetorical one-two punch, not a real dialogue: the speaker isn't waiting for the listener to answer. The 为什么 raises the curiosity, and 因为 satisfies it in the same breath. Because it's self-contained, you don't need 所以 anywhere — the question itself replaces the 所以 half of normal 因为...所以... Use it to break up monologue, signal a key insight is coming, or summarize a point as 'here's why.'

Common Mistake
Learners pair 为什么...？with 所以... in the answer ('Why? So...'). 所以 introduces a result, not a reason — it doesn't fit here. The answer to 为什么 must start with 因为 (or its formal cousins 由于, 是因为).

Use this when both cause and result sit in one declarative sentence. 为什么...？因为... splits them into a question and its answer for rhetorical effect.
之所以...是因为...
Use 之所以 in writing to invert the cause-effect order. 为什么...？因为... is the spoken, more conversational way to flag a reason coming.
怎么...？
Use 怎么 to ask HOW or to express surprise ('how come?'). 为什么 asks for a reason; 怎么 asks for manner or registers astonishment.
